Watercolor on paper...9 1/2 x 15
John 2:9This is another one for the 'wine window' my framer is doing in August. I attended a wedding some time ago where the wine for each table was incorporated into the center piece. It was really quite well done.
Each table had two bottles of wine and a cork screw was included in the grouping along with the grapevines you see and an assortment of grapes. I took lots of photos and combined them for this painting. I wanted kind of a misty illusive background and am pleased with that...but as usual the subtle colors are not showing up well.
Hope to get one more done in time for framing.
The weather is beautiful here today. Should be painting but think I'm going to take my camera and go for a bike ride.
See you later and thanks for stopping by.

Wow Marsha, this is just pure eye candy! The background is great, I really like your composition and the way you handled the colours is beautiful. I am captivated by the cork and the bottle neck. Great job!!!
Goodness, a bike ride...that sounds like a great idea. I think I might have to find time for one myself today. I hope you had a wonderful time.
Absolutely GORGEOUS, Marsha. But then everything you do is!!
I hope you had a great time and I'm so glad you feel well enough to go out and grab life like that.
Did you get some good photos???
Marsha I can't tell you how much I am enjoying your watercolors! This is beautiful - great comp and lovely colors. You are so talented!
wonderful blog. Your watercolor is exquisite.
God bless and keep up the food work
Teresa and Marian,
Thank you, I believe this is my favorite of the paintings I've done so far. With each painting I do I learn more about my pallet.
I've also 'finally' learned to lay the color down and let it dry before adding more. I was always trying to get it wright the first time. Then it became 'overworked'.
As for the bike ride, not many pictures but was an enjoyable afternoon.
Karen,
What can I say but THANKS...for the lovely comment and for taking the time to visit my blog.
Gary,
I believe this is a first comment for you. I'm glad you are enjoying my progression in watercolor and look forward to your next visit.
Your work is always wonderful but I agree with you that this is also my favorite. Thanks for all your help and advise.
Marsha...love what you are doing with the watercolor, now. I hate to say it, but I've been so busy, it's been a while since I've visited. The last time what when you were just playing around with the watercolor.
Love the colors and this one is a beautiful "arrangement"! Will be keeping a closer eye!
