It's been pretty quiet here lately. I've been experiencing some reoccurring health issues the past couple of months that escalated in July, preventing me from working in the salon. I have fortunately been able for the most part continue with my Tech Support job and do a little painting.
I told you about the issue with Shingles in April...well in the last part of May I began to have repeated bouts with diarrhea. It was first diagnosed as diverticulitis. The most recent tests found NO diverticulitis, No polups, No infection, and best of all No Cancer. (no real answers)
I still don't have any definitive answers but have started eating a gluten free diet the last few days and do seem to be edging ever so very slowly to having less pain. Since I'm also on medication I don't know if it is the change in diet or the medication that finally kicked in. Either way I am thankful for the relief.
The pain and diarrhea are at their worst late afternoon, throughout the night and into the mid morning. The flowers you see arrived this Wednesday morning, after a particularly rough night. I was setting at the table wondering how I was going to continue and not sure I wanted to.
My stamina and my energy were tapped out. I was so blessed to know it wasn't cancer but didn't know if I was going to be able to tolerate things until answers came.
You know, GOD does know just what you need and when you need it most.
The doorbell rang and I was handed this beautiful bouquet of flowers sent from my fellow FASO Tech Support Team. They live throughout the US...Texas, California, Colorado, and New York.
The timing was perfect. It was the HUG that I needed...I could almost feel their arms around me as I read the enclosed note.
I have another Dr. appointment Tuesday. Pathology reports should be available then and perhaps some more difinitive answers.
You may not hear much from me here as I work through this. I thank you for your love and prayers.

Marsha, so sorry to hear about your continued health issues. I pray that you feel better soon and fnd the answer to your ailments. Not knowing is often the worst part.
Since you are trying a gluten free diet, I thought you might like this site... http://glutenfreegirl.blogspot.com/ I found it when I was researching gluten free diets for one of my children. If you scroll down you will find two important links in the right hand column. One is a colorful box and connects to her list of gluten free recipes. The other is under the "Essential Posts" heading and is titled "Do you have celiac?". It talks about symptoms and I believe even has a link to an online quiz.
Best of luck! I hope things improve soon.
Have you tried any pro-biotics? You could just be overrun with bad bacteria. Or could be food related -- I know acesulfame potassium, sucrose, etc cause that problem for me.
Marsha - I so enjoy your art. I'm sorry to hear that the shingles has knocked you for a loop. And now the other problems as well. Keep the faith! I will keep you in my prayers.
A bout with shingles can certainly take it's toll. Surely you'll get to the bottom of this soon and will be up and running. In the meantime, please get some rest and know that we're all thinking of you, Marsha.
Marsha, so sorry to hear about your health problems -- was afraid that your blog absence meant you were having problems. Really hope you doctor visit this afternoon helps. Thinking of you with prayers for a rapid and strong recovery.
Marsha..
I pray for an end to all of these health issues and wish for you to feel your normal energetic self again VERY SOON.
You have been an inspiration to me always... as an artist, a person and as my tech advisor!!
I know how lousy it is not to feel well...
BE WELL, Marsha!
(virtual hugs included)
You are in my prayers too Marsha. May you be blessed with the strength to endure these trying times and may a recovery be just around the corner. Hang in there!
Marsha I hate you are having this trouble - I pray you'll have a speedy and complete recovery.
Thinking of you and hoping you are feeling better.
Marsha - hope you are OK - miss your posts. Just wanted you to know I was thinking about you.
You are on the hearts and minds of many of your fellow artists 'out here'. I certainly send you healing thoughts and wishes for a full recovery right away!
I wish I knew where you live so I could, perhaps, suggest some help to you that would be in that area.
Be well. You are supported by many.
Lynne
Hoping you are feeling better....
I've been looking around here. You art is wonderful and your graphite, wow.
A warm hello and thank you to all who have left comments here and sent me encouraging emails as I've struggled through these health issues. I still don't have any answers and am still on antibiotic. They continue to run tests...I'm beginning to feel like a 'lab rat'.
I am starting back to work in the salon..slowly. When on the antibiotic I am fine. It is the interim when I am off and the symptoms reoccur that makes it hard to work...or actually do anything:(
I continue to feel your prayers and couldn't have made it through this without you.
Will try to start posting here again soon. I miss the contact, the 'brain' stimulation, and especially the 'swishing of my paint brush' and 'the pushing of my pencil'.
Thank you so much.
Hi Marsha, It's been too long since I checked in with you and here I find you have been under the weather big time! I'm so sorry! I had shingles when I was 32, stressed out, and it's the worst pain imaginable..so I feel for you. I remember living in the bathtub submersed in water, the only relief I could find (also huge doses of B-Vitamins and an ointment used for herpes helped, too. I will pray for your return to good health!
